The ongoing increase in waste production by residents, the necessity for operational efficiency, and the importance of maintaining clean public spaces all underscore the need for data-driven solutions

Locking bins in cages or cabinets is not always an option – especially if the visual aspect is important for customer. Sensoneo’s solution does not disturb the visual of the waste containers or their surroundings.

Besides ensuring that only the authorized people can access the bins, the solution can also facilitate introduction of PAYT for apartment buildings that otherwise must be done via door-to-door collection only.

Waste Access Management can be also very beneficial for waste collectors who can easily control who and when accessed bins, and for producers and distributors of the bins as it significantly elevates the bins’ value.

Bin Access Management 4.0

The solution uses NFC (Near Field Communication) technology. The most recent version, BAM 4.0, includes the capability to be extended with external devices. For instance, the system can now be paired with our ultrasonic fill-level sensors and monitors, enabling bins to be locked automatically once they reach a predefined capacity.

Since the sensors are connected to the BAM by a cable, they do not require batteries, as they use the capacity of the battery inside the BAM. This means that deploying both devices together is extremely beneficial from both a technological and financial perspective.

How does it work?

The installation process of our locks is straightforward and quick and can be retrofitted also into existing bins.

The Waste Bin Lock is installed on each bin requiring access control, with quick and easy setup

Customers receive the necessary number of access keys in their chosen design (fob or card)
