Information on the Processing of Personal Data and Consent of the Data Subject

The controller processes personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR) and Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the Protection of Personal Data.


2. Purpose of personal data processing

Personal data is processed for the purpose of recording and handling complaints related to the automated deposit refund system for returnable cups during the Ice Hockey World Championships held in Bratislava and Trenčín, communicating with customers regarding the handling of complaints, maintaining internal records of complaints, and fulfilling the Controller’s legal obligations.

3. Scope of Personal Data Processed

The following personal data will be processed for the purposes listed above:

Name and surname

Phone number

E-mail address

Bank account number in international format

The controller does not process special categories of personal data.

4. Legal basis for processing

The legal basis for the processing of personal data is the data subject’s consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, the fulfillment of the Controller’s legal obligations pursuant to Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR, and the Controller’s legitimate interest pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, which is the recording and handling of complaints.

5. Data retention period

Personal data will be retained for the period necessary to resolve the complaint, for a maximum of 1 year from the resolution of the complaint, unless specific legal regulations stipulate a longer retention period. After this period expires, the personal data will be securely deleted or anonymized.

6. Recipients of personal data

Personal data may be disclosed to authorized employees of the Controller, sales representatives responsible for handling complaints, IT service and technical support providers, and public authorities, if required by law.

Personal data will not be transferred to third countries outside the European Economic Area.

7. Rights of the data subject

The data subject has the right to: request access to their personal data, to correct inaccurate or outdated data, to have personal data erased (“right to be forgotten”), to restrict the processing of personal data, to data portability, to object to the processing of personal data, and to withdraw their consent to the processing of personal data at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of data processing prior to its withdrawal.

8. Voluntary Provision of Data

Providing personal data is voluntary, but necessary for recording and processing the complaint. If the data is not provided, it may not be possible to process the complaint.

9. Consent to the Processing of Personal Data 

By submitting the complaint form or confirming their consent, the data subject confirms that they have been informed about the processing of personal data, understands the purpose of such processing, and grants the Controller consent to process their personal data to the extent specified above.
