The Client Portal is a powerful, intuitive software solution that centralizes registration and reporting, streamlines compliance workflows, and automates financial operations within a secure and user-friendly environment. It enables users to easily create and manage profiles, register products, and submit detailed volume reports. The portal ensures accurate and timely data collection aligned with compliance requirements while supporting billing and invoicing. It also provides analytics and reports that support better operational decision-making.

Take-back software solution for full visibility across your reverse logistics chain

See your entire reverse logistics process at a glance, from the initial request to final processing. The solution provides smart tools for all stakeholders: operators, collection points, logistics partners, and processing sites. The Collection Marketplace efficiently matches supply and demand for waste transportation. Mobile apps collect data at every step of the process, building transparent waste streams from the source all the way to processing. Route Planning creates the shortest collection routes and navigates drivers from pickup to pickup. The solution minimizes administrative tasks and improves transparency and traceability.

Collection Points

The manager or operator places one or more pickup requests through the mobile app. The request appears on the Marketplace, where logistics partners wait to claim orders. Once a driver is assigned, the collection point receives a notification with the details, including who will collect it and when. They can also see a list of all past, assigned, open, or draft requests.

The take-back operator does not need to intervene in the process.

Collection Bins

Collection bins are equipped with Smart Sensors that measure fill levels 24 times a day. The system automatically places a pickup request once a bin is almost full. Pickup requests appear on the Marketplace, where logistics partners wait to claim the order. Requests can also be placed according to a fixed schedule. In addition to fill levels, the sensor provides service verification and includes built-in fire and tilt alarms.

Logistics Partners

The Sensoneo solution helps you better plan and optimize collection capacity while increasing profitability.

All pickup requests appear on the Marketplace. The operator signs up for relevant orders in the web portal, divides them into collection routes, and then assigns routes to drivers. Drivers access tasks through the Driver App, log discharges, and follow step-by-step navigation. Sensoneo’s solution significantly reduces collection costs – algorithms maximize vehicle loads and plan the shortest route. The take-back operator does not need to intervene in the process.

Processing Facility

The manager or stockkeeper quickly receives and logs discharges in the mobile app and enters data for further reporting. The manager has an overview of all delivered and assigned waste. For unprocessed waste, they request transportation by placing pickup requests on the Marketplace for logistics partners, just like collection points do. The take-back operator does not need to intervene in the process.

Quick Summary

Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)

Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) is a policy that defines the responsibilities of producers, manufacturers, and importers for the treatment and disposal of products once they reach end of life. EPR encourages producers to design products with lower environmental impact and support environmentally responsible disposal.

Some producers fulfill EPR requirements using internal resources. However, the majority work with Producer Responsibility Organizations that provide full management of post-consumer take-back, collection, and recycling while ensuring producer compliance with regulations.

Reverse Logistics

Producer Responsibility Organizations (PRO)

Producer Responsibility Organizations are collective national entities that ensure producers comply with legislative requirements on their behalf in exchange for a financial contribution. PROs organize post-consumer take-back, ensure recovery and recycling targets are met, promote eco-design, educate on waste prevention, verify data, and report to national authorities.

The legal responsibility of PROs for meeting required targets places high expectations on their knowledge, management, and operations. Digital transformation of core activities can significantly reduce manual workload while improving transparency, automation, and accurate reporting.

Reverse logistics plays a key role in helping PROs and producers meet these obligations effectively. By managing the reverse flow of products – from consumer returns and collection points through sorting, transportation, and recycling – reverse logistics ensures that end-of-life products are handled in line with regulatory targets and sustainability goals. When supported by digital tools, it becomes not only a compliance mechanism but also a driver of efficiency, cost savings, and measurable environmental impact.
